HEPA Filtered Air Scrubber

A HEPA filtered air scrubber can remove 99.97% of all contaminants and odors from the air.  It uses a series of filters to trap air born particulates within a certain area.

Air is composed of many particles including to gases, dust, microscopic particles, water vapour and many other things.  Depending on the size of the particles many can become stuck in the upper respiratory tract of your body if they are not removed from the air.  Those particles that become trapped in the lungs are the smallest particles that we breath in.  These particles pose the greatest health risk. These particles can not be removed by normal filters and require a HEPA filter for adequate removal.  HEPA filtered air scrubbers can be used in homes, commercial and industrial applications, water and fire damage situations and many more.

The job of air scrubbers is to provide protection to people during their jobs or at home who are exposed to unwanted contaminants.  These units will utilize a set of filters to thoroughly clean the air before it is returned to the environment.  First there will be a polyester spun pre-filter, followed by a pleated filter similar to the one you have in your HVAC unit, and then followed by a carbon filter and then finally a HEPA filter.  It is important to note that you will need to keep the pre-filters clean.  By keeping them clean you keep your HEPA filter cleaner longer.  Since the pre-filters are the cheaper filters you want to keep them changed often so your unit will perform at a high level for a long time.
