When a steady temperature and relative humidity is maintained, onions will remain dormant. Onion storage with desiccant dehumidifiers is the most stable way to keep the optimal storage conditions and allow the onions to keep well for up to 6 months. On top of that, desiccant systems also provide low operating costs and lower peak power usage to control both humidity and temperature. It can also save on cooling energy.
